These days we're reading.....
Logan -- Fargo Rock City by Chuck Klosterman
Nell -- The Happiest Toddler on the Block by Harvey Karp
Ezra -- Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See and Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear by Eric Carle. Ezra goes back and forth and back and forth between these books. He can't get enough of them!

Would be an interesting poll to see what everyone else in the family is reading as well, don't you think? The boys just went to bed after hearing me read to them: the Tale of Peter Rabbit and 3 chapters in Franny K. Stein (a beginning chapter book about a little girl who is a mad scientist). Topher's teacher read one of the Franny K. Stein books to his class and now he talks about it all the time. Ben's already asleep and Topher is listening to Junie B. Jones (somewhat controversial, I know, but we're doing it!) while he's tucked into bed.

The Happiest Toddler is pretty good so far. I've found a few things that have worked with Ezra. I'm only about half way through and need to finish it. (Had to start reading a different book for the visiting author I took a group of 8th graders to go see - Roland Smith.) Anyway, I plan to start the Toddler book back up hopefully this weekend. It has a bunch of good suggestions for toddlers a little older than Ezra so my plan is to try to go back and read it once a year these next few years. I'm sure there will be new things that I catch each year that he gets older.
