Five Year Anniversary - June 7

Logan and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary yesterday. I can't believe it's been five years now that we've been married! We went out to lunch at Los Vaqueros which is always fun for me to think about our wedding reception in their garden. (Mark your calendars for June 7, 2013. We want to have a ten year anniversary party at Los Vaqueros! I think this would be awesome! Ezra will be almost 6 years old. Wow.) And then we headed downtown for the evening. I love downtown Fort Worth. We only live two miles from it so we're there often but with all the new changes that have been going on it's an even more fun place to go explore these days. We had a yummy dinner and then stayed downtown at the Ashton. All-in-all a fantastic way to celebrate five years. I have an amazing husband. :0) We always take a picture on our anniversary for our wedding scrapbook -- this is our fifth one and first with Ezra J. Thanks for the the idea MB! How many pictures do you have now -- 15?

A few other big things we've got going on these days...

1. Summer is about to begin for me! One more day tomorrow and then I become a stay-at-home-mommy again for a few months. Yea! Ezra and I have some fun things planned.

2. We started our music class this past week. Ezra totally digs it!

3. Ezra is a crawling machine! And he is fast!

4. I'm now officially running the San Antonio marathon next fall. Ezra and I are going to be doing lots of training runs this summer. You might see us out and about running early in the mornings.

5. Logan's El Scorcho race is coming up next month. They now have 400 people registered! It still blows my mind how big this thing has become. And one of the things I'm most excited about for this year's race -- I won't be pregnant. Ha! An all-nighter and being 34 weeks pregnant don't mix. This year I'll be out and about all night with my camera and Ezra J. will be snoozing away at Nanna & Pop's house.

Memorial Day 2008

We spent Memorial Day hanging out at Nanna & Pop's house last Monday along with Shana & Randall, The Popielarcyk's, and Mah-Maw (the grandma formerly known as G-Ma. She decided to change her name.) Ezra had his first official swim in the pool. He's sat on the side before and dipped his hands and feet in but this time he got the full experience of how fun it can be to go swimming. I think we'll be making lots of trips to Nanna & Pop's pool this summer.

The past two mornings when I've gone in to get Ezra out of his crib I've found him sitting up all on his own. He's gotten pretty good about pulling up on things so I guess it was just a matter of time before he would do it in his crib. Both mornings he was just sitting there talking to me like he was saying "Good Morning Mommy." He also started crawling this past weekend. It's more of crawl with one leg and pull the other one behind. And then he stops every few strides, sits back down, takes a look around, and then he's off again. He's such a happy little guy!

Mother's Day

I love being a Mom. And I think I have the sweetest baby ever. :0)

Ezra and I got together with some of my high school girlfriends last night. Well, I should say childhood girlfriends since I've known these girls since we were all little kids ourselves. I've known Katie and Dee Ann since Kindergarden and Leslie since middle school. It's always so fun for me to see them and catch up. Katie and Dee Ann are both expecting their second baby right now....how exciting!

Splish Splash Ezra Was Takin a Bath

Ezra discovered how to splash tonight. He was cracking himself up! I was about to take him out of the tub when I noticed one small splash and then a little giggle. So I waited a little longer. And sure enough there were lots more splashes and lots more giggles. Ezra is one funny little dude.
