Easter 2009

We went to the Easter Egg hunt last Saturday up at Ridglea and Ezra had a fun time! This first shot was on the drive there... It was so hard to wait behind that yellow string for the hunt to start! You can't see them in this shot but there must have been hundreds of eggs just a few feet away from us. So tempting!

Once it started Ezra knew just what to do. We had several practice sessions at home this past week. (Great idea Mimi! Thanks for the eggs!) During our practice sessions Ezra would stop and open up each individual egg to look for the treat inside. Ezra LOVED finding treat inside the eggs. He would shake them and get the biggest smiles. And then he would eat them. We stuffed them with raisins and goldfish. Should have tried broccoli! Ezra was so excited for anything inside those eggs! So this practice was good at home but not good at the actual Easter egg hunt when all the eggs are filled with mini candy bars.

In this next one you can see him opening it up and finding a snickers bar inside. And then he tried to eat it. With each and every one. It was quite comical as I was trying to get him to just put the egg in the basket and try to find another one. He just wanted to eat the candy.

After the egg hunt they had lots of other fun things for the kids...

Spring Break

Just now getting the chance to post these pictures from a few weeks ago. Ezra and I had a great spring break! The shots below are of Ezra and his friend Griffin at the Botanical Gardens. Lots of great things to explore out there. Especially when you are exploring with friends. The first one makes me laugh -- I think Ezra looks like he's riding a bull.
