"Then Goldilocks sat down in the chair of the great, huge bear, but it was too hard for her. Then she said down in the chair of the middle-sized bear, but it was too soft for her. And then she said down in the chair of the little, small, wee bear, and this chair was neither too hard nor too soft, but just right."
I had just been thinking last week about how we need to get Ezra his own chair. And then this wonderful present arrived from Ezra's Uncle Ricky, Aunt Emilie, and cousins Topher & Benny. It's a perfect fit! Ezra gets the biggest smile everytime he sits on it. I think he already knows that it belongs to him. Thank you guys for such a sweet and unique gift! We have such a talented Uncle who designed and built this super cool chair!

No picture for this post but you'll understand why in a second. I've had so many laughs all day long every time I think about it. This morning I went in to get Ezra out of bed and he was in the buff! I had changed his diaper about two hours earlier in the middle of the night so I either did a really bad job (quite possible for a 5:00 a.m. diaper change) or he had decided he didn't want to wear it anymore. He was just standing up at the side of his crib, smiling, and waiting patiently for me to come get him out. I immediately said "Ezra, you are naked!" and then he began to laugh. I quickly put a new diaper on but he just kept on laughing. What a silly boy!

One year and two weeks.
Ezra had his one year doctor appointment last week. (Actually it was one year and two weeks.) 23 pounds, 14 ounces, 30.5 inches. He has 8 teeth. He's zooming around like crazy these days. He's so very fast. Still no words yet but I know he's getting close. We hear lots of ma-ma-ma-ma but I'm waiting for him to look at me and say it before I think it's official.Friday, September 12, 2008
These shots are from a couple weeks ago -- just now getting around to posting. Every year on Ezra's birthday I plan to take Ezra's picture with him wearing this UT shirt of Logan's. We tried to get Ezra to wear the shirt for the picture but he would have nothing to do with it. However, when we draped it over him then he changed his mind. Suddenly it became a game of peek-a-boo. One of his favorites! I wonder what age he will be when it actually fits him. It's already amazing for me to look at the shot we took of him on this same exact day last year. Scroll down to the bottom to see that one. What a difference one year makes! And what will he look like at this time next year!
